Thing 16 Geotagging

Photos I found on the map that are interesting

Italy

I can see the potential fun with geotagging. Yet another way to make connections. I can see searching locations where you'd like to travel for interesting photos. Then possibly make a connection with the person who posted the photos to learn more about the destination who in turn might connect you with others.

Thing 15: Podcasts

I tried both podcastalley.com and podcast.com directories. I searched for podcasts that seemed interesting to me in interior design but didn't find what I was looking for. I started to listen to 5 or 6 podcasts (Designer's conversations) that seemed like they would be good but were disappointing and lacked interesting content. I don't think trying to find a podcast is the best approach, better to learn about a podcast that is known to be good and follow it in your Reader. I don't see myself podcasting, I'm a visual person and like to see and read content rather than listen to it.

Thing 14: Research Project Calculator

The RPC calculator seems better suited for research work at Ai. It is based on the assigment calculator but has more features such as deadlines, e-mail reminders, hints and worksheets. The tool helps manage the research project but breaking the project down into clearly defined steps. Each step has guidelines and process to work through the step. After graduation, one might use the RPC calculator to plan and build a career.

Thing 13: Online Productivity Tools

I chose iGoogle as my start page because Google just seems on top of it and has everything I need and it's easy to customize. I will make it my permanent home page.

Lots of fun tools. Online calendars with alerts and sticky notes, movies, etc. But I have some of these features with Windows 7 that I have been using so not sure I will switch. But I will look for more productivity tools to put on my start page. One gadget I found and downloaded is the Olympic Games - how cool!! I would recommend it to friends.

Thing 12 Tagging and Del.icio.us

I can definitely see the value in social bookmarking. I'm going to take all my browser bookmarks and add them to delicious with tags. So great to have some organization - I have hundreds of bookmarks and it is hard to find them. Also, I do see the potential (huge)of sharing bookmarks so that the best of the best surfaces easily.

Thing 11 Online Creations

I think all of the tools were easy to navigate and get around. I would recommend to friends and can see using the tools for presentation delivery and to e-mail following the presentation. The tools go beyond what Powerpoint has to offer. Also, nice feature in Slideshow to create a Slidecast (slideshow + podcast).

Here is the slide show I created:

I don't see a problem with sharing photos online as long as photo credits and/orlinks to source are posted with the image.
