The easiest tool for me to use is Google Docs. It seems to be the tool of choice. My kids use it a lot for their homework assignments. I've used GoogleDocs to sign up for parent teacher conferences. Each parent goes to the Google Doc and puts their name in a time slot. Saves time from having to physically go to the classroom and write your name in a timeslot. Volunteer activities, field trips, classroom supplies etc. are handled in this manner also. Nice!
Also have used DropBox before - great tool!
