Thing 5 Beyond MyFaceSpaceBooking
I chose Twitter over Plurk as my social journal because it seems more mainstream (I haven't heard of Plurk before doing 16 Things). But also, I already have a twitter account. I believe Twitter is a great resource to help in a job search as well as for an on-line marketing campaign. Like other good internet related tools there is the unintended downside. Twitter is a great way to stay connected quickly and easily. It could facilitate large groups to congregate for non-peaceful purposes and perhaps be a tool for terrorism.

ReplyDeleteAnother evil I found on Twitter is that it broadcasts to burglars when you are not home. For instance someone might tweet, "i'm at the airport now". Twitterers beware when you are tweeting your whereabouts.
